Same time space is best. You turn to keep them from sticking, increase blood flow, an help give nutrients, and an uneven turning schedule messes that up.

Do they have to be turned with the same time space between them? like every 3 hours between each turn? Or can you turn them at different times?

I think it's best to try to do that. I have never turned more than 3 times a day when manually turning - I would turn at roughly 8am, 5pm, and bedtime (maybe 11pm). Someone else may be able to comment on how essential it is, but I wouldn't turn frequently if you're going to be all over the place in the ability to turn (just my thoughts...)

The soaked wick is held in a coil rig that you light and then place in a mason jar containing olive oil up to the top of the coil. You can make these easily with a pair of pliers and a coat hanger - I got them on Amazon, had ordered before I found the do-it-yourself instructions.
