EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Same time space is best. You turn to keep them from sticking, increase blood flow, an help give nutrients, and an uneven turning schedule messes that up.

I beg to differ...

I always think what would a hen do. Hens have no set routine. I think just turning an adequate number of times would work,,,Of course, I could be wrong, but that would be a first...

Duckladie Do you have them on their side or as in an egg carton?

Hens are constantly shifting them underneath them. They do not sit totally still for 6 hours, so I believe they still get a pretty equal amount of time on each side.

Thanks

Does olive oil burn cleanly?

I think what you need to know is it safe to burn when you are in a life raft or floating holding on to your Inner tube....

I hatch mine upright I wonder how much difference that make in the turning of them.... I rely on an auto turner too, if I had to hand turn them they would all die.

I have pretty quiet hens they hardly ever move.....so nananaaaa
