Been dewormed, but he's also a completely indoor cat.... so it would be odd if he had worms.Worms???
He also shares a litter box with 2 other indoor fat cats.... he's the only one who's lost weight.

We have a nasty little critter here that we call a Tiger Fly; no idea what the right name for them is. They seem to live in trees, 'specially Locust. We can barely go shirtless w/o getting covered with welts whenever the heat & humidity are up.

I would. That could be kidneys, diabetes, early cancer, etc etcAlso - Dumb question, but my cat, who's always been notoriously chunky, has lost a ton of weight in the last 3 months. He seems okay, but should I take him in and get some blood work done, to make sure he's okay?
He's double digits this year, so I know he's getting up there in age.

Deerflies are real bad here too; but wearing a hat with duct tape sticky side up on it gets 'em. They're stupid and get confoozled if you cover your head completely.
They sound like mini drones coming in... They'll circle you many times, each circle getting smaller, before finally landing on your head and leaving a horrid welt.
