I'm not allowed to touch his tools... plus, with 3 kids, 6 and under, I don't have anyone to keep them safe if I started doing it. That's why he's supposed to help with the upstairs. the upstairs isn't baby proofed.
Thought that last one might get your attention!
Yeah we have too many days above 90*F (one is too many), but that's the secondary use for the hose.
The humidity is harder on them than the temp, I believe; the RH frequently is about as high as the temp. That's when you break a sweat just breathing. The birds spend a lot of time with their mouths open when it gets bad, but the run is covered with a reflective tarp that extends about 1/2 way down the sides, so there's shade & ventilation. Factor in the tree cover & ice added to the water a couple times a day, & they don't do bad. PITA in that kind of weather, but better than blowing paths through 2'+ of snow.

What's the best way to cut Plexiglas sheet?
I used a table saw

Oh my!! Yeah, I'll stick with snow, thanks.
Bad thing is that the only sweet spot where there's no snow and no bugs here is mud season, which makes dirt roads impassable. Snow is much easier in general to drive in than mud, 'specially w/o 4WD.
You all get mud season in the US?
Mitre saw if it's small, table saw if larger
I have a broody duck. Not full on broody yet but almost.
Exactly. LOLWe quickly learned our house wasn't grandkid proof. Even though we attempted to make it so. Gosh they are fast. How quickly we forget.
We have more of an issue with heat - so for them, they need a shelter that wind can get through and we can put ice blocks in there for them to lay against.Very nice forgot your in tx. In the windy winter northwoods I need to build insulated house style coops.
