I know, right?! And now looking at a house and 25 acres just outside the city limits with 25 acres. City water AND well water, barn, RV hookups, clear pastures, 14 horse stalls several fences areas, large corral, all mineral rights. House is ugly but livable... $314,000. Only 34 minutes commute to work. Makes me want to drive by and check out the area. Everyone around here wants to live north, in the Hill Country, and that land is expensive - but it's rocky poor soil. The good land agriculture-wise is south side, but that's the less fancy part of town, so property values are lower. Stupid.

Yup, one look at Handyman Corner would tell you that.

Yeah, I went to sleep and woke up with new pitas bites (seriously, autocorrect? PITAS?!). Fire ant bites are very specific, and I'm really familiar with them (unfortunately).

No, just the land, no where to live, would have to buy an RV and/or build. Taxes on either are NUTHIN' compared to what I pay right now which is almost $10,000.

Don't let anyone tell you how awesome it is to live in a state with no income tax. They just get it from you in property taxes.

Almost $300 to have someone come and install a windshield. I can live with the minor dent and the door and front fender as long as the hood opens, since it is an old 99 suburban. Now off to shop for a mirror.
