EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Once every 6 weeks all year round, I am not one of these guys to put off showering just because it's winter.

Huh. They must just be picky.

Here if I get caught peeing in the backyard by a passing neighbor I get a wave and a big grin...if I am lucky they honk the horn. In the city the cops come knocking and in today's age if there was a kid in that passing car would not surprise me if one ended up in jail. So if I can not pee in the yard while waving at the neighbor I don't want to live there.

:lau :lau

My last cup of coffee for the day is done. Time to go back out finish chores. freeze my fingers some more, Gather more cracked eggs and  get to work setting eggs.

Have fun....

I've already gathered my harvest of frozen eggs for the day. I'm trying to get them before they freeze coz I finally found a place to sell eggs. I can get $3.00 for chooks and more for dux... So selling 5 coz a week would pay for feed. Already sold two yesterday. :yesss:

Hmmm....was thinking what to hatch next. Do you or can you ship or would you want to try shipping from that frozen tundra?

Don't ship eggs anywhere, sorry. :(

I wrote up an explanation as to why I sell birds but don't ship eggs... Hang on a sec....

i fear imported disease all the time. Wanted a close flock, but order cornish cross every year anyway to feed the tribe here. I tried other other meat birds that would be easier to raise and hatch and Mrs. 5sons likes her Cornish cross and if momma ain't happy ain't no one happy. In my order this year I am considering attempting to raise out some Cornish cross. I have a sperate coop almost complete for them.

I read up a lot on his toads. I would like (not sure I ready to accept) the challenge of keeping Cornish cross. I need to do more research and right now all my time to research is stuck in a sick chicken and the marans and Olive eggers incubating (new breed to me and purchased local). Ok enough chit chat for awhile need to haul wood and do some chores and get more upset everytime I walk past the smashed surburban.
