That's better than two weeks.
When you are closer to the hatch it seems MUCH longer...

She spent most of Monday getting things ready for the storm. Her internet and satellite TV are out, as of last night she had NOT lost power. Not certain on her snow total, they were at 16 inches and it was still coming down at a rate of 4 inches an hour.
i feel her pain, except, we lost power
and still have no power

Bad day for fruit here. Any that survived the last few nights are surely gone now.
It is 16F out there now.

I'm not holding out much hope for most of it. The apricot bloomed weeks ago and the fruit was growing. Green fruit in apricots are 90% killed at 25F so they are lost.
My peaches are in full bloom as are the plums. The apples and pear buds are swollen and about to open.
Peaches in full bloom are lost at 24F and plums are killed at 23F so both of those are gone too.
Pears at first white are killed at 19F so some may survive.
Apples at the stage mine are, are killed at 15F so they should make it.
Everything was a month or more ahead of normal.

That sucks.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that.
Do you get to go to work?
yep i'm here, i came in early because i was bored and cold at home
no poser so all the waterers are frozen
and no power so i cant change them out

I've been wondering how bad y'all got hammered up there.
lots of snow and crazy strong wind gusts, poles snapped, big bull pines uprooted
snowdrifts higher than the hood of the truck (full size chevy)
transformers blown
roads closed everywhere
97% power out in this town, and 94% home-town
it'll be awhile until its back on too
