EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

You hit the brakes instead of the gas? Do you not recall from drivers Ed. In case of dux crossing in front of you steer into the dux and depress the accelerator.

but there was also a rooster

i hope they do well for you
are you going to be crossing them?

If I get a good variety I'll be keeping them separate. They say their hens are 8 pounds and roosters are 10 pounds and the hens lay very well. But I've heard that story soooo many times. They are some pretty sharp looking birds. Some of the reviews on eBay stated good fertility for them. :fl

I'm glad it's not just me. It messes with your head, doesn't it? :gig Thanks! I needed that!!! :hugs (I may or may not have had extra coffee this morning. :hide ) I incubate upright and hatch with the eggs lying down, but egg cartons certainly work (this was the shipped egg batch with bad air cells): Hoping the eggs show up soon!!! Alas, I couldn't laugh because it was my boss. :hide Congratulations!!!!! Worth the wait? (Addictive, isn't it?!) :clap I have to resist every time I go in there. I try not to look, it's so hard... Well, busy day ahead. Lots of sanding and sealing lumber, working on building more housing. I'm considering buying a trailer (finally) - tired of having to do so many separate trips to Home Depot for lumber. TSC has the trailers on sale. So I'd better get going... - Ant Farm
I'm still only drinking one.

Good morning everyone. I got held up on the way to the feed store this morning by a duck crossing plus one rooster.

I am off to pick up my chicks that hatch the last couple of days.
@The Duck Lady I am glad your hatch is going so well.

Sweet the turkeys here are usually the road block. Once in town a tom was standing in the intersection stopping traffic. Silly people wouldn't drive past him. They will move the city folks just didn't know that. He had quite a line up of cars.
