EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Ralphie, it costs me about $6.00 a week to feed my ducks, if you consultation is $50 an hour I think ducks are cheaper.

obviously, you are too young to know what duck ownership will do to you in the future. You could end up as a old hermit living in the middle of nowhere without a friend in the world, Like Banty,. Is that really what you and your parents want for you?

A life with just snow snakes and empty booze bottles for friends? I think the $50 would be a bargain for someone as young as you...

Good Morning all.

Thanks for the coffee, beautiful Abi! I hope you feel better soon! You could lay down and let Duckling be your nurse.

Just make sure she doesn't give you used tissues.

All this duck hate... and we are over here loving our new ducks! They are used to me now and no longer take off in the other direction. They just associate me with food, but I'm okay with that!

I attempted to list my rooster on the bulletin board yesterday and quickly had my hand slapped due to the bird ban in effect here right now. Guess I am stuck with him a while longer.

@daxigait Prayers for your work situation. I know how that is and feel for you. Make sure you state the facts, in writing if you can.

Duck hate??? where???

Well, I've decided that the next time I update my CV, in the section called "Other Skills", I will add:

"Excellent hen retrieval skills, to include safe and level set up of 8 ft ladder on uneven ground in the dark, and one-handed retrieval of hen from a tree (also in the dark while wearing headlamp).
Specialization in obnoxious Cream Legbar hens intent on winning a Darwin award.

Been sanding and sealing lumber all evening - I'm sure to pay for it with another early morning pain session, so I'm taking a bunch of NSAIDs before bed. Off to see if I can do a read back before collapsing.

Can I ask a question? What are the pros and cons of getting a polled goat? I read abut it, but didn't seem to retain it...
I can answer that and I am new!!
ONE just ONE out of four had horns and was disbudded and I got stuck with this!!! A spur quickly grown round down into Pequots head! I got the saw thing off amazon to remove it, but it ended up breaking off in my hand THANK GOD!! I didnt have to cut that sucker! yuk!!

and
disbudding sucks and if you dont find the right person to do it, they can have brain damage, infections and a good chance as scurs

Ralphie, I am so ashamed of you....

How could you, after all this time, forget duck tape??

Duck tape is my best friend. Not snow snakes, they're untrustworthy. :old
