My daughter really wants a black Cochin, or a light Brahma. McMurray is out of both. Without buying from another big hatchery, where do you suggest I look?

SERAMA INCUBATION TIPS
I start my serama at 50-55 humidity CALIBRATED, I run a hot bator at 100.5 CALIBRATED, I run at that for all my eggs....... on day 7 candle, day 10, 12 14 16... "I dont candle all after day 7 just a few to keep track of air cell growth. " I adjust humidity throughout via looking at air cells. I lock down day 17 or when draw down had begun & raise HUMIDITY 72%-75 CALIBRATED HYGRO! LOWER TEMPS ON DAY 18 = Temp Min 98.0 Max 98.5
KEEP in mind with serama, they are small, so in the last FOUR days weight loss can drop quickly and what you thought looked like a good air cell now has gotten way too large. so its fine to candle more to keep a closer eye on them!
@BantyChooks scratch that link and use this, threw in an article so I can edit if thread shuts down

I've got some Chantecler eggs under a broody.
Hatchery or breeder quality???

Hello Sally Sunshine... I have a chick question . Can you help? My 16 chicks have really bad manners and particularly a certain lavender orpington... they scratch ALL the feed out of their feeder till it is empty.( a standard plastic quart with red plastic tray that you find at the feed stores). I just hate to waste all the feed. I do let them eat up as much as they can . But it starts getting contaminated and smelling form being on the floor of the brooder. I know how to teach kids to not throw their food on the floor but a chick?!

Breeder-quality chants are the newest breed I've been researching and drooling over, so I was curious if you had just gotten the poor-quality birds that look like walnut combed leghorns or if you had acquired eggs from higher quality stock.
