I actually have another in with them, he will be taking over any day now.  The new ones are soon to lay still waiting!!  He has all copper and no yellow and seems of better standards, and he came from a much darker egg so fingers crossed!!   I may still see if the guy local has the greenfire roo for me but I doubt it will be better than the new guy.  but what do I know lol    So for now only the maran that lays that specked egg is laying

on darker eggs. I have one hen that's laying a real nice egg. Other two are ok.

that sounds like a good plan Raz. They are lovely, I always like those little Isabelle duccles ??? is that what they are called, those cute widdle things lol

@BantyChooks two quitters in the day 14 honas, down to 19 total now.

Everything else (day 6) has veins. Some are wonky because I don't turn them enough.

In the D' Uccles it's called Porcelain. I love the way they look too, but I'm not a huge fan of bantams.
