EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Looks delish, Benny!

I tried to grow my own herbs once. I killed them all, even the mint.

You must've worked really really hard to kill off the mint! That stuff grows wild around here; I can always tell when I get too close with the mower.

@kwhites634Are you feeling better? How is the shed you worked so hard on?

@MotorcycleChickAre you better? I did read to catch up, but I have not felt chatty.

Feeling almost normal...or what passes for normal, anyway.
Shed's just sitting there for now. It got too cold to work on it, then I went down the first week of Feb. and wasn't allowed to do much more than breathe 'til just recently. Gonna be getting fairly warm here soon, so I should be able to get back at it.

I'm a fair weather worker anymore, I guess. I figure I've earned the right. Had to work regardless of the weather for 20+ years. Don't have to now, & I ain't gonna!

Sounds good to me. I was not sure what you got done after the roof before your surgery.

This happens to me now also.  Including my daughter's teachers at school.  They know I do the classroom hatch and so they have all started sending egg cartons.  Problem is, they usually end up in the bottom of my daughter's backpack and by the time I get them they are all squished up.

Thank you for the coffee, beautiful Abi!  Mind if I steal a muffin or two?

You will have to take that up with Ken.

What doesn't go good with caramel???
Skunk, fertilizer, and ugly cats.

She just wants more peanut butter.  She's just a little spoiled!

She was practically drooling on the poor dog. She is blood thirsty!

Thanks. I started with my immediate supervisor. He came back and said they had decided to use anniversary dates instead of across because it was not a CODA raise. Which ignored my point about the years there has not been a raise available because I was at the top of the chart. Nor the fact that the other three at the top of the chart have already had their anniversary dates this year so based on the coincidence that they are hired early in the year I will have to wait 7 to 10 months longer to get my opportunity at the raise. Thus they get it at 7-9 years, and I will be at 11. He said since it is not coda it had to be earned. At which point unfortunately for me I got upset yank the door open and left complaining about how so they can turn it into weeks and I have to do it in 10 months your regardless of the previous years. The next day I sent a letter to my Bigg Boss because the employee manual says if you're not happy with the resolution that your first boss says that you can you know send a letter and since there is only the big boss over my boss's boss so he went to that's what I did. I expressed my opinion and argument in the letter unfortunately the last line I included was that I had always and said that though my employer did not pay the best at least they were loyal but I didn't feel that was true anymore. That upset him over a raise we are supposed to talk when he gets back in town early next week. It amazes me that rather than address the issues that I put forward he was more concerned about my questioning the company's loyalty of course. We'll see.

You know that drivers quit spur of the moment all the time. Your faithfulness should be well rewarded! I would be sure to remember that. If you can't get the respect you deserve, look into other companies! :lau Just not Swift or JB Hunt!

I'm much better! Still not sneeze proof, but I can breathe again!

I even covered it for some of the winter.... Still went kaput. Everything I read said it was impossible to kill, but no... :barnie

It lasted two years (one year longer than the rest) but I guess the weather got it in the end.
