My male Tom decided he hates boys - including my toddler... so I told hubby he either has to stay penned, or be thanksgiving dinner All the girls are nice, and my tom likes me, but my teenager messed with him enough that he decided he doesn't like boy-children anymore. He leaves the girl-children alone. What a sexist turkey.

Trade you a tom for a hen. I have 3 toms my 2 yr old son can hug them all.

If you were in Texas, I would *totally* take you up on it.

How did you train them. We handled them alot - me, and my daughter and the baby. The toddler's so rough I usually only let him handle older birds unless I have my husband around to help with the squeeze hugs... maybe that was the problem? He socialized with girls too much and not boys???

He respects my husband, but all the animals respect my husband, he's an intimidating guy. LOL I have to carry a stick out with me when I handle the pony... I'm not very scary.

Same way I train anything. Just hold them and not let them move. Overpower=respect. My boy is very gentile with them too. Ha my dad was in Houston last week for a big rodeo.

hah - yeah, I routinely hug him and he hates it. He has a submit to me, behavior because he sees i'm bigger than him, and I thought it was due to size, but he elaves the girl children alone. One is 6, and one is 1....................... and the boys are 13 and almost 3, and he chases both of them and acts mean to them.

It really is a sexism thing............. so for my next TOM turkey... suggestions?

Riddle me this: hatcher with fan struggles to keep humidity even though it feels humid when I open the lid.

Hatcher with no fan, humidity skyrockets. Talking like 30% difference.

Fan messing with hygro? Or that's just how science works?
