@duluthralphie somewhere I saw (and am too lazy to go back to find it) you said your hatching egg cartons were disintegrating after washing them a few times with bleach. Guess they will do that.
I use antibacterial washing up liquid and hope that the "0.001% of bacteria" that it does not kill are NOT the ones in the bator. Seems to work fine.
Love Lysol too (hate bleach as clothes end up peppered with white spots).
I bought some of those plastic egg cartons that are used on camping trips today. I am going to cut them in half and use them. I will be able to wash them in the dishwasher. (The WWD was not as excited about this part as I was).
I also like they are more square than rectangular, that means more room around them for crawling chicks. I also think I can soak them in a Duxicide in case anyone sneaks a dux egg into my hatchers.
As far as the bleach "stains: on my clothes that too bothers the WWD way more than it bothers me.
