@NaJoBeLeSo when were you in AK? I miss a lot of it, but not the long winters. I wish I had the money to go visit my property up there. We have a great Salmon run on our creek. The state pays part of our taxes to be able to study them.

@Article Editor I am in lockdown for a Saturday hatch on Pepper, OE, and Seramas eggs from Sally.

My four week old chicks ventured out with the two month old chicks for the first time yesterday.

We were stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage from 2001-2007. Loved every minute of it and have missed it since. We have a trip back up there in June. Initially my plan was to retire and move back up there but with aging parents I suspect we will be moving back to Alabama/Mississippi area.

I screwed up by not volunteering for Alaska when I was in the A. F..... I'd have never come back south

Thanks for the coffee, beautiful Abi!

I will be so glad when the sell/trade ban is lifted, so I can get rid of this crazy rooster. He attacked me when I opened the coop door to fill the feeder this morning. I gave him a stern talking to about how he shouldn't attack the hand that feeds him. He was less than impressed.

I stayed as long as I could. They told me it was time to leave. Considered a rotation to Korea and going back but with a 1yr old and another on the way it didnt seem like the right thing to do.

I know a method of getting rid of a bad rooster, that the trade ban does not affect...
