Thanks for the coffee, beautiful Abi!

I will be so glad when the sell/trade ban is lifted, so I can get rid of this crazy rooster.  He attacked me when I opened the coop door to fill the feeder this morning.  I gave him a stern talking to about how he shouldn't attack the hand that feeds him.  He was less than impressed.   

I told ya! You should have swapped him out for one of my boys. His genes are not worth it!

Gotta agree with Ralphie. Even if you can't eat him, using him as 'yote bait would mean he didn't go to waste.

She doesn't have any wild predators. She seriously asked me what a skunk smells like! One sprayed outside my window last night. She had me choking as I tried to describe the stench!

As chickencanoe says, she has them. She just hasn't seen them.
With my luck, I will move down south, and lose my entire flock of SPR.

Hmm, day 7 candled a dozen turkey eggs and no veins

Had to help out a hatchling. Pipped but didn't make any further progress. Poor little thing had the membrane stuck on its head/neck. Yolk sack completely absorbed. I cleaned off most of the dried up membrane from its head. Put it back in to rest and dry off. I'll check on it frequently. I know chicks that need help sometimes don't thrive. I'll sure try my best though! Humidity in the incubator has been a steady 68-72%, so I don't think that was it. Keeping my fingers crossed it will do ok!
