EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

But if you do everything you've been putting off you won't have anything to look forward to.

You really think I was looking forward to taking the garbage, or everything else on my to-do list?

Hmm...

Maybe if I ran outside and changed the car tyres to summer it'd make it come faster. :gig

I thought that was a Davenport

A chesterfield is a really old name for them. I remember my Grandma using them when I was about 5.... Someone using the word today is seriously behind the times....IMHO....

We're all going to die in an earthquake!
I've been MIA because I was dealing with the kids.

So, I sent them outside to play on the playset, so I could do laundry, and get the kitchen cleaned up. I went outside to put the broody and her babies in the goat area, and check on the stuff outside. Kid didn't do a chore, so I put the goats with their mom to nurse and went to go find him to remind him of the importance of not forgetting to move them back in the morning, and they were no where to be found.

I found them inside my daughters room, and they took these liquid chalk markers, and had colored on the walls, her brand new bunkbed, the stairs, the walls, and 500+ dollars worth of wood furniture that's antique stained with grooves, so the magic erasers can't actually get into the cracks to get the chalk out.

Their dad is ******, I've never, ever spanked my 6 year old before, but she got a spanking for letting them destroy her room, going along with a bad idea, letting her brother(s) take the chalk markers from the chalk board in the dining room and not think to come tell me.

My 13 year old and toddler are cleaning everything up with magic erasers and I'm taking a time out so I don't say something I regret to my 13 year old.

It was his idea, and he did it because "I figured dad was going to paint everything anyways, so what was the big deal?" If they'd have ASKED about the wall, I might have let them draw on the walls we hadn't painted yet, but definitely NOT the wood furniture. He knows better, my 6 year old knows better.

I know my toddler doesn't know better, but he's cleaning it up too.

I just had to take a time out for a minute so I don't strangle my 13 year old for getting the markers for the toddler.

They were put up out of his reach, and had to be given to him... and my 6 year old just went along with the idea. I don't blame her entirely, but it IS her room, and her brothers' not even allowed in there with out my permission, so that's why she got in major trouble, for sneaking her older brother in her room.

I had them in a safe place so I could get some stuff done, and my 13 year old decided to make more work for me. I gave them plenty of activities, and things they COULD have done if they got bored of playing on the playset, too.

I'm guessing this is revenge for his room.
