One of my Juvie chicks got itself killed - the dogs didn't rip it apart, but were fighting over it's dead body, I'm guessing the Barn Cat Tom who has a history of killing chicks, did it and left it's body in the yard for the dogs. It was hanging out a little too close to the chickens today.
Both dogs were shown the chick and corrected for fighting over it's dead body though. Neither of them would even look at a chicken after the correction I gave them and my great pyr went and hid. I have a zero brid tolerance policy for my dogs. I'm 99% sure it was my cat that did it, but I didn't want them fighting over dead birds, either. It's gonna be a while before they look at another dead animal again for a while would be my guess.
I'm PMSing hard. Hubby told me to go inside and drink some vodka. LOL
For what it's worth, I went out there, and she was guarding the gate of the chicken coop the juvie escaped from, so i'm pretty sure she knew why I was ******.

Sunshine did actually get in and splash around for a while but I was recording at the time. The video didn't even turn out :/ They follow us everywhere. Sunshine is the most cuddly and likes to be held and snuggled. Lollipop doesn't really like to be held much. They have their own brooder now since they thought chick feathers were snacks lol.
