Me thinks you worry too much - or candle too much.
What day is the egg on?
A professional incubation company says not to spin the egg or turn it when candling.
I can't imagine the chalazae breaking because it is so flexible and springlike.
Ain't worrying, I just wanna know why and how much. Don't really care about the egg one way or t'other, just something funny I noted.
Candle too much, quite possibly. It's just fun.
It's day 3-ish? Was under a broody so not sure when she got really serious.
I turned it about 3 cm to the right and then to the left. Didn't spin it, just shifted it enough to see that it had a rather large range of motion. If that hurts it, than normal turning is gonna kill it real quick, you'd think?
Thanks.
Sounds normal to me.
But yea When hand turning recommendation is to alternate direction (not spin) which puts tension on the chalazae.
