Dear Dax and MC

I agree that it is important to take advantage of each person's individual strengths, but that shoud be regardless of gender.

Not sure I understand what you mean by "making men into women" and "women not being content with who they are".

Few men I know drive a truck and physically work as hard running a small farm like you Dax. Does that "make you into a man" because you do activities that are traditionally men's roles?

Men can't breast feed or have babies so what activities "make men into women" and what is it that make women "should be content with who they are"?

Do you mean that women should get paid less than men for the same job?

I saw some woman on TV sayin that because "women like that their man earns more that they do, and that is how it should be"

People say these things about gender roles but don't qualify them. Please educate me!!!
I really wasn't talking about careers or the choices like that. I was referring to the fact that somehow in our culture today we have a lot of problems with either gender fulfilling traditional roles or being more classically masculine or feminine. It is like a lot of other areas where we swing radically one way or the other instead of finding a middle ground where some people are traditional and some people go the other direction. Also there are distinct differences in how men and women think even use their brain, and while there are some people that cross that boundary there are many that don't. These perspective differences should not be lost to or made wrong by those people who seem to think we should all be the same or are all the same when that is clearly not the case.

Think of a women sharing how she just really her favorite shirt. Most men would suggest how to fix it, where most women would sympathize this varies but it's generally true and is not wrong it is just a difference.

I would like to bring in my point of view, I was born in a family that the roles were traditional, and I am the first born of 4 children me and 3 sister so between my sisterm my mother and my grandmother RIP, I was treated like a spoiled princ, especially by my grandmother. So according to that I should have been some big Arabian chich in my house, but I choosed not! I think it is BS created by Men! I think that a family is ONE unit that all of its members primarily the parents should make their maximum efforts to take it forwarded and make it prosper, regardless the gender! I don't think that if you have been born male or female you have a bilt in manual of your duties in life! And that is how my family is. at the beginning we evaluate who will have the biggest chance of making more money and we understood very quickly that DW ,that work in high teck, have a bigger chance to earn more then me, in the education department. so we decided that I will be more with the children so she can develop herself =more money to the family! I don't feel intimidated from that because I know that the money goes to the same place, ouer family! And I don't think that when I come home at 14:00 from work and the kids need to eat, or the house should be cleaned, or the kids need help in homework I should say that they have to wait to mummy when she will come home at the evening to do that, because that isn't daddy rules! I think it is stupidity to do that! If someone love his spouse he NEVER do this kind of things to him!

Bahahahaha! I am a stay at home dad for lots of reasons, but one is because my wife made more than me when I quit. Statistics are changing especially since the 2008 recession. I know things aren't like they were for us before then. Our whole way of life changed. There are still professions where one gender is stronger than the other. Oh and our last couple kids were feed formula because I was home with them when the breasts were making money. For us like so many it is simply about doing what you have to make ends meet.

Awesome!!

Question! I just got home from work and my humidity is 27. I have 3 Polish eggs due to hatch Friday. Yesterday it was around 60. I'm not sure why it dropped so fast, but... the big question, or problem, is that one of the eggs has pipped already this afternoon. So...I leave the lid shut with low humidity? How long, because tomorrow it will be even lower, and I have two more eggs to go...

You sure the hygrometer's accurate?

Well, no! I'm not sure of anything. This is egg 8 that I've ever hatched... :))).

I've not seen it change so suddenly before though.. hopefully it's wrong.

Quote: Yeah, I only have 1.6 acres - 1 acre in the back, not all usable/cleared. I'm afraid I have already "crapped up" the property with structures, but since it's just me, as Sally says, "I do whut I want."

Quote: Really? If I weren't so attached to Texas now I'd have to PM you - I'm from Atlanta originally...

The only reason not to open during lock down is to keep humidity in - if humidity dropped (and you think the hygrometer is correct), then definitely open. Open now and toss in a wet paper towel or washcloth. Then rig a water container with a sponge in it to add that will last longer. Not sure you need to dab the pip (would worry about getting water in there), but would probably be best to throw the towel in close to the one that's pipped. Then keep an eye out.

That happened once to me and it turned out the lid wasn't seated correctly on the top of the incubator, so maybe check that? (What's your ambient humidity?)
