Quote: Get used to it. From what Sally said a little bit ago, there's a week & a half of it coming next week up there. Maybe here; haven't checked yet.
Congrats on the broody hatch. Nice job with the incubator!Morning All,
Got a final count on the broody last night. 10 out of 12. She had kicked the last 2 eggs to the front of the kennel so I'm assuming she's done with them.
Also think I found a fix for circulation in the bator. Managed to get readings within .5* F top to bottom which seems decent. Alot better than the 30* variance I had top to bottom previuosly. Original fans just weren't able to move enough air. This one is 3 speed and was moving too much air on high, dialed it back and on low it seems about right.
I know it's too hot, wafer is wired in but not set yet. Actually doesnt even have the wafer in it, just the bracket and switch.
Also, Happy Birthday @MotorcycleChick Hope you have a wonderful day.

Quote: Good to hear. I think I had posted this before, but I had a really bad bad sprain that took a long time to heal. I did my rehab by hiking with poles 9had never used them before) - the hiking (over rocky terrain) made sure I got my proprioception back, and the poles were a huge help in confidence and balance. They do take a bit to get used to, but you'll get the hang of them - if you're able, do a few day hikes on rough terrain with them before hand to get the hang of it. Definitely a good thing to have.![]()
Ugh, the janitor at the school unplugged my incubator yesterday afternoon and did not plug it back in.![]()

They were unplugged roughly around 3:30pm, and my daughter went in to check water levels before school and noticed it was cold around 7:30 this morning. Ugh - 16 hours. I know it's possible they survived, hoping for the best. Going to go up and check for movement tonight after work.![]()

(At the hospital once a janitor unplugged one of the instruments running overnight so he could clean the floors using that plug. Delayed patient results and > $3,000 of test reagents down the drain.)![]()
Unbelievable, you'd think they would know better.

Hmm, let me think on it. Nope that's a bit under budget. I plan to do a full write up on it soon but current cost is in the neighborhood of $150. Goal was under $100 but stuff adds up quick and I haven't started on the turner. Display cooler was free off craigslist.Morning All, Got a final count on the broody last night. 10 out of 12. How much do you want for it?! I think I got $35 dollars in my wallet. Is that enough?!
That's still less than a small styrofoam incubator...Hmm, let me think on it. Nope that's a bit under budget. I plan to do a full write up on it soon but current cost is in the neighborhood of $150.
