So, how about next month, you save space for 10 eggs, and I'll ship you some turkey eggs. I can get maybe 3-4 a day so over a week, I can get enough to send you about a dozen. I put some in my incubator from the fridge, and they still developed, so they appear to be pretty beefy.

I don't try to eat the turkey eggs, but the kids do. I eat the duck eggs on a regular basis. I get 3-4 duck eggs a day, and just added 4 more girls to my flock who should start laying over the summer.

I average 12-24 eggs per day from my chickens. I put a lot on my incubator, and ALL the silkie eggs will be incubated until I get more girls. lol

Nope. Hubby just had me put the 5 boys out in the main part of the yard and seperate them from te flock. He says the birds need to mow the lawn. We grow our lawn faster than the birds can eat it down.

I've got 7 full-throated roosters (@daxigait

) that go off first at 4:45 for about 5 minutes, then for an hour around 5:30-6 (and a few cockerels in training). My bed is against the window close to the chicken yard - Snape on his roost is no more than 30-40 feet from my head, through a window. I still sleep through them unless I've gotten a good 9-10 hours and am ready to get up anyway.

What you described is one of my definitions of hell. 7 rooster 10 meters from my head? Not even in a 1000 years!!!

I think it's even a little closer than that. I have always had a hard time getting up in the morning - I used to set 5 alarms (no kidding). Now I just set two.

I have 3 eggs in the incubator. It is day 24. No piping yet, but on day 18 they were good when candled. What do I do? Any suggestions?
