Now there is marketing for pets for higher prices of common stuff set out as specialized@BantyChooks
Rabbits are cheap to care for? My daughter never got that memo, she feeds a super expensive bunny feed to cuddlebuns, and she buys like 5-10 dollars in wooden chew toys every couple of weeks for him, plus alfplha pellets and bunny hay which isn't cheap at the feed store. Add in the fresh produce, and he's more expensive than my chickens per month. haha
(He's also got a litter box, and the bunny litter isn't cheap, either.)

@Phage have you called around local feed or ag stores?
haha, he uses his litter box and keeps his pine shavings clean as long as she remembers to empty the pan out.Oh, goodness. I don't do any of that.
I buy hay at a few dollars a bale from a friend, and put them outside for their greens all summer and give them scraps that would otherwise go to the chooks in winter. Sometimes they get pellets, but even when I get them I get the plain kind that's only a few bucks. For chew toys, I just give 'em scrap wood. Bedding for both litter box and pen is pine shavings and hay.
