EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

DH shot a snake off the brooder last night. That's only half of it.
:gig I thought I had a snake in my bedroom this morning! I was all excited to play with it! It was just a black cord.
I should've grabbed it to relocate, but we were headed into round 4 of extremely violent thunderstorms, and I wasn't in the mood.

Well, like those watching eggs in the brooder, go find something else to do

easier said than done. I can ignore eggs in the incubator.... but I FEEL pregnant due to the HCG shot, so it's always on my brain. hahaha. Ugh.

I was playing world of warcraft this morning but the servers went down.

For the first I would suggest looking at Duck call lanyards. Might be able to find something that would work.

For the second, ehh it's a tough call. I'm a huge advocate of CC depending on the situation. Depending on what you typically carry I'm not sure how much protection it would provide against a bear(which I suspect is your greatest concern). The debates would go back and forth when I was in Alaska and I never really nailed down where I stood. If your considering personal protection from something else I would say go for it. Last I checked airline process was pretty straight forward and not that complicated.
It would be for two legged predators. My 380 that I typically carry as my CC would not be for bears, but the bear spray is effective on people to ;)

I am trying to decide a couple of things for my trip. First, does anyone know of some type of belt or strap I can use to hang things around my waist or across the front with or without a backpack? There are so many things to carry several of which need to be within easy/quick reach.

Second given that I will have bear spray, a stun flashlight, a straight knife, etc., within reach, and my studies in martial arts do you think I should take my concealed carry or skip it, and the airline hassle? @jwlpoultry

I'd skip the airline hassle.

How about a fanny pack - or you could use your Admiral hang.

I have not planted in the ground yet. First I need to clean the coops, and put the straw in the garden. Then till a time or three. I have a bunch of tomatoes and bell peppers in the house. I think I have jalapenos too. LOL! I forget.

I can't do meat birds. I still haven't processed my roosters. This was supposed to be the week (Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning) but life here has truly been insane this week. I am struggling to remember that today is Thursday the fourth!  It is like someone saying that they can prove there is a tooth fairy. I hear you. I just can't make myself believe you.

I can barely remember it's 2017. Where has the time gone?

I was born here. THE WILD IS IN MY BLOOD.

Youse insane, girl.

First, depending on what you want to carry you could find lanyards of some sort or if it's slightly bigger items a less than stylish fanny pack.
Second, I would take it. Depending on what you carry more than likely it'll be useless against a bear but that's what the bear spray is for. Consider the CC as backup or insurance in case SHTF. Should be fairly straightforward and easy with flying with it.

Guess what? If I didn't know better, I would think you were Duckling's bio mother. She had a shot, and is waiting for the same day to test.
