EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

View attachment 549105 Should I assist? It's been trying to zip for an hour. Others have made much more progress. Looks like it's zipping in a big hole...

NO!! THink about it tomorrow afternoon!

Just an update. I did help the chick in the morning. I think some of the membrane was stuck to its head and it was pretty tired. It also had a little blood spot/boo boo right where the beak joins the comb. I think it got hurt while trying to tap away at the shell edge. I unzipped it, and then moistened the membrane and it eventually kicked out. It still has some dried membrane stuck to its head, but hopefully it will make it through now.

I had eggs in my incubator, and set eggs under my broodies at the same time. They did hatch about the same time, so I put all of the incubator chicks under my broodies. No problems there!

Thanks for your quick response time! :)

I have tasted alligator, it did taste slightly like chicken, kind of. :sick

Who me?! How did you get to this conclusion?
If I say that one member has intelligent posts it automatically mean that other posts STUPIDE post? It doesn't go with logic.
Oh, so you are calling me stupid now?

Which one would that be?
Rammstein. I've heard a few others, but I don't like any of them as much. It helps that the lyrics are disturbing.

Morning MC!
Add geese to that and I'll agree. I dislike dux and hate geese. :sick

My 6-year-old Black Australorp hen doesn't agree. She lays through winter and the record for the most eggs in a year (365 eggs laid) goes to her breed.
