Definitely. Between my horses, goats, other animals, and farm work I update every 5 years. In fact, I just updated last fall

Skin will add a lot of flavor regardless of end destination. Depending on end destination of the meat it will also help keep it from drying out. If the bird is roasted, baked or grilled crispy skin is delicious.
