I thought of you and Duckling today... Bill got the new lawnmower and wanted to try it out. I needed some fresh air and exercise and wanted to spend some time with him before he went to work so I went outside and walked long side him and picked up sticks to "help". I could just see you out there with Duckling following around"helping' and it made me smile

Duckling actually said we needed to collect sticks today.

A hawk just swooped down and went after the chooks, thankfully he missed.... But the evil thing terrified the ducks in the process. Why can't we shoot them things?

Well, the five for today are done. And the forecast wasn't quite right. it got to 100F, with heat index of 109, while I was out there playing with chicken guts. For the record - not pleasant. I managed to keep myself upright long enough to clean the processing area and all tools, and then move the remaining boys to be culled tomorrow to their brooder pens with water only. Aaaaaand now I'm gonna lie down in front of the AC vent...
