EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Ok so I have eggs in my home made incubator. It's already day 23 and they haven't hatched. My humidity was on 50 because I couldn't raise it no matter what I did. I tried putting the at cloth and everything. I'm scared they might be dead. Is there any way I could tell without moving the eggs?

It is.....but it is worth it, you just gotta have a really strong heart.

Aha, that is one smart chicken! I have a chicken like that....clipped wings but that doesn't stop her. I would love to see her chicks! Bet they would be cute.

Everything looks good, your cooking bread too? But hey! I love that sign in the background!

They are cute - here's her son, whom I kept as potential replacement for Daddy (when the day comes). His name is Khan. (I need to get an updated photo - he's about 18 weeks now)

Yup - weekly sourdough. Stock is finished and in the canner right now (I'll need to do two batches to get it all canned). Bellying up to some of these wings, will put the rest in the fridge to be enjoyed later. :drool

Sadly no, I have a palm tree that I got with the house, but the previous owner was not smart enough to plant a date palm, he planted a unuseful but beutiful! Canary Palm!
Here it is

I have any number of useless palms in my yard that the previous owner planted (one of which completely destroyed by plumbing by invading the drainage pipes). I want to put in medjools in the back. :drool:drool:drool

Go ahead and candle them. :fl

What were your temperatures during incubation? (I ask because if they were low, they can sometimes hatch late.)

(Did you calibrate your thermometer? Sometimes they can be off.)
