EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Well, terrible terrible night last night. Maximus (Maxy--the Joey) passed on. He really was just a carcass.....no fat on him so it was extra hard to keep him warm, and that lead to his death. I tried so hard with him and was feeding him every 3 hours morning and night, he was so small. Poor bub.
:hit

:hugs I'm so sorry about Maxy. :hugs

Now, that pic deserves to be in a caption contest! She is adorable.

:love I agree!

They are cute - here's her son, whom I kept as potential replacement for Daddy (when the day comes). His name is Khan. (I need to get an updated photo - he's about 18 weeks now)

Yup - weekly sourdough. Stock is finished and in the canner right now (I'll need to do two batches to get it all canned). Bellying up to some of these wings, will put the rest in the fridge to be enjoyed later. :drool

On the upside, I get to sit here and stare at my duckies all night. They're too cute. :love

There are worse things...

And you plan on sleeping when you have new duckies that have hatched....

(I was thinking the same thing...) :lau

He is - and he's (relatively) well behaved (typical teenager stuff currently, about to be removed from the girls until his hormones are under control and they are ready/laying).

I love to cook! :D

Second batch of stock is in the canner, and it's coming to pressure now. I've just got to stay awake until it's done. :th
