Well, I got my compass today. Hats off to @ChickenCanoe for his help a few months ago. Now to see if I remember enough and can actually use it. I need to find a boy scout to babysit me through a short trail.
At least the trails I chose should be clear enough. Especially by August in Yellowstone.

Well trying to get the abandoned eggs went as well as I expected. All three hens went into protect mode and took me on. Needless to say the eggs are still abandoned and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. It appears 6 chicks are still alive. 2 have been killed. Since the hens are such protectors I'm not going to attempt to get the chicks either. It doesn't bode well for them surviving in a mixed group but who knows maybe.

Hope your able to stay cool in the heat of this coming week. Our temps are supposed to reach 109 here but I've heard south of here is to be hotter. It was 100 today.
I did get some stuff done on the dirt that's being hauled in to level things up a bit here tonight
