EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

No, haven't had duck eggs in a month. Beside, I've started culling so I don't need any at the moment. I almost bought chukar eggs, there was a dozen that went for a dollar.
I think you all have laws down there against having a duck free incubator... Don't you?

Even if they aren't in place yet, it's still shameful. Get those dux eggs in the bator. :smack

Those are the kind of chickens I wanna get! I seen some at our local September days animal show and fell in love with them! Are they very good layers?
If you get them, go heritage. Hatchery Wyandottes are often aggressive, and in my experience, poor layers.

I haven't had a problem with hatchery Wyandottes, the ones I've had have all been very calm and friendly and pretty decent layers. (Can't say yet for the SLWs since they're only three month old)

Ya know it's hot out when... the flies leave.
