I hatched a Toad two days ago..Bad hatch, 11 eggs and 1 viable chick a second hatched but wry legs and neck, so he visited the gas chamber yesterday..

Luckily I had a turkey hen that lost her chick 2 days ago so I grafted the lone toad to the turkey hen....

Any idea what went wrong with hatch?

Yep. I only have one toad hen left, the heat took a toll on them. It takes me too long to get a dozen eggs. I should hatch smaller batches so eggs are fresh, but just too much hassle.

The toad pullets have started to lay eggs so it won't be long I will be hatching fresh eggs again.

Oh, didn't realize the heat had taken a toll on the toads, that's too bad. Glad you have some pullets starting to lay.

Boy, this past week you have that right.. I have to get better soon or they won't do my surgery on Thursday.. The way I feel the last week, I am thinking I could live out the rest of my life comfortably on $20 bill...


I tried to gather eggs yesterday and couldn't finish the WWD had to do it for me....Not a good sign.
