Luckily, we get more eggs than we can even use, even with half our flock being broody. lol
Our newest EE-RedSex link - just laid us our first egg, too. lol it was TINY! :O

Egg color is light brown - similar to the color of the red sex link eggs.

We have some pure-bred EE eggs in the incubator right now, but 90% of the ones that have hatched, have been roosters. Out of the 3 that hatched previously, all were boys!

We need to cull the two roosters next week. I'm going to make my husband do it. haha

Pregnancy is going okay - I'm just over 8 weeks now, so about 30 weeks to go.

Me too. we've thought about that before.

Some are better than others. We've had better luck with males. The females we have now are useless.

I didn't here about the final on the twin. It is hard to believe that you are eight weeks in already. I hope you are feeling ok. My sister was sick most of her pregnancies.

How are you? Baby? Nice it 'hear' from you.

Baby's great. Got an appointment with the midwife at the hospital soon to maybe sign up for kinesiotherapy and a birthing class. Also going to double-check the kidneys and make sure both are in there. He's at 22 weeks now, only got four more months to go.

Going out for food soon. I'll be around!

I keep only male llamas that were gelded around three years of age.

We started with a four yr old gelded male and followed with another gelded male. The one started picking the ewes up by their back leg or hip and he hurt a ewe. We finally had to put him with the adult rams. We thought we'd get females to get away from those issues. We just got other issues...lol.

I also was hoping to breed them. Um, yeah...that didn't happen.
