EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Good morning all. Feeling rather discouraged today. I lost another poult last night and 1 this morning, a chocolate. I'm down to 9 of the origional 16 that arrived safe in the mail. I've lost more of these shipped poults than I lost in my entire hatching season this year :hit
:hugs I am sorry especially with all you invested. Any idea what is wrong with them?

Well, last Sunday my friend started trying to move a bull we had gotten into a smaller pen to try to get in the alley while I was letting the other cows out. He charged her and found her into a cattle panel which she hit face first. I had to go in to distract him and get her out. Rank jerk charged me, and I waited till he was about two feet away and dove rolling right. I then got to play ring around the Rosey (creep feeder) while she drug herself out. Then I got to practice my sprinting. I got away with just a bruised shoulder as the ground is harder mats ;) I could not be a clown. There is something creepy about the look on a big bulls face as they charge you when they are not going to be waved off and want to get you.
She was in the hospital all week so since she has two cats needing meds twice a day I was up going to her place by 5 and then working my 12-13 hours, then back to her place for horses, goats including milking, dogs and cats, and coordinating other stuff. It was a long week.
I would rather have been chatting.
I realy hope that this bull is some prime cuts of biff by now!

We actually do learn the metric system in school, at least back when I went. We started converting to it in the mid 1970's. so the conversation should be complete any day now. :lau
The only real exposure I had to metrics was at the gas pumps. They were reading only metrics for a while, but there was such a public uproar that they reverted to thye system that has worked just fine for us for 200 years.

Oh my, that's more drama than I can handle at my age now ;). Glad you were able to prevent worse injuries. You might just have potential as a clown, takes a lot of skill.
