What happened? Predator?
No, these RSL layers (at least mine) usually last only 3-4 years. They're pretty consistent producers year 'round, and I guess it takes a toll on them.

She was a little "off" all day; staying by herself, mostly, and just sitting around. Last night, after the others had already gone to roost, she was bedded down under the coop.
I didn't expect her to make it through the night. I guess the remaining one will head downhill soon.
 
Down to 6 hens. Lost one overnight...one of two mamas to the young bunch...about 4 y.o.

Oh, sexlinks. No wonder. I forgot you only had them and their crosses... Another one of mine is going downhill. I won't be getting them ever again.


That's probably the only place in her house that's warm enough for a Texan lol
