Arthritis. God kept it okay this past winter (which I thanked Him for every time I had to shovel or tend birds), but the air conditioning this summer has me crippled.

Another hen managed to hide for 3 weeks:

Sneaky critters. Finally got the nest of one hen cleaned of eggs. There wasn't an original egg left in it. One broody left. She's not attentive enough for them to hatch.
