We just had this conversation with someone else...who I shall not name.![]()
Our insurance costs increase a fair bit with a wood stove. And I don't believe you could put one in and run it until the whole thing was "inspected and approved." I think some insurance companies might even balk if it isn't a grandfathered situation. I know of someone who purchased a house...but couldn't use the fireplace because of the insurance.
Maybe, but I am spoiled with the in-floor heating and rebel at giving up my toasty floors![]()
You have in floor heat???No fair!!!!
I loved the in floor heat at the barn. So toasty on my footsies.![]()
The storm has really cooled us off..It's only 26 right now!![]()
Is that like how this new air conditioner is also a heater? I haven't got the darn thing hooked up yet.
You mean one of those combo heaters? Yeah, those aren't very efficient, but I guess they'd work there.
Pretty impressive. How many do you know?
I did my first hatch on shipped eggs. I am a little confused about the air cell poistion. I have a styrofoam incubator with egg turner. The eggs were shipped pointy end down. I let them rest for a day pointy end down. I put them in the turner pointy end down. I candled a few times. 6 of the 17 eggs looked to be devolping correctly on day 10. The air cells in all the eggs were at the bottom in the pointy end. Is that the correct poistion? Everything I can find says it should have been in the fat end.
I had 1 chick hatch and 1 die after zipping the wrong end.
Below is a picture at day 4 or 5.
Thanks for the help. Trying to learn for next time.
Wow...google's going to take over the world the way it's going. Can't get over some of the stuff. I just sent a grain contract away...and it caught that I had typed that I'd attached files...and reminded me I hadn't attached anything yet.
Dang I wish I had stocks in it.![]()
My little chick that made it. It's 1 day past hatch date. The incubator is going just in case some more decided to join. But seems like a long shot.
The chick seemed a little weak day 1 in the incubator. Lots of laying on his or hers belly. I moved it to the brooder and it took about 12 hours but it's moving around and chirping. View attachment 1121099
Praying for those that are in Texas or in nearby states that may be affected. Take care!
I've gotten similar notifications. Very creepy. Stop going through my E-mails, people.Wow...google's going to take over the world the way it's going. Can't get over some of the stuff.
