Good morning/Shalom my friends! I hope you have been well. I had a wonderful time. It was so much fun, and I got to sleep eight hours a night on top of the rest of the fun.
I wish I had my better pictures especially of the continental divide, eclypse, elk, and bull buffalo that came around the corner and down the bank about fifteen feet from where I was sitting drying my feet and eating after fording the knee deep river to get a drink (it was a tense few minutes and a good reminder to make noise), but it is on my camera since my phone was off most of my trip

So many more especially a good view of the Grand Prismatic spring which the basin and overview are must do things if you ever go to Yellowstone. It is astonishingly beautiful better even than the stunning online pictures of it with it's gorgeous colors.
Several have seen this but for others @Fire Ant Farm @Sally Sunshine @MotorcycleChick @ChickenCanoe @kwhites634 @kajira @Chaos18 @mlm Mike @LocalYokel @dan26552 @Auroradream26 @hippiestink etc.
Opinions please.. My question in a previous post in another thread is not yielding much feedback.
Not saying I would do this, but it goes against everything I have been taught:

4; a lot of inferts & a couple DIS (one started pip but never made it out) RH was all over the place the whole time (incubator in the new building, as a test), despite rice & consistent 100* heat throughout.
Hi all. I'm high and dry. Whew. Still no TV and internet service so when I'm able to catch signal on my cell I've been b s OMG on the hurricane thread. Hopefully I'll make it back here soon.
I may go back to bed, just 'cause I can
I swear, sometimes chickens are so dumb. I have a young pullet last night that did not want to go in the coop. I ended up having to go all over the barnyard finding her if in big weeds or grass. She would run and hide around the corner and because chickens can outrun us especially when you have to open and close gates. Of course, this was instead of going to the run because she was too stupid to go in the for the door shut so she was panicking. Then she wouldn't even go in the run so I could get her there first, dumb chicken. Or is it dumb owner that just didn't let her figure out what predators are all by herself since I have better things to do?
If a chicken won't go in with the group, I don't bother putting them away. If they live, they live..... if they don't live... well that's why the ones who don't allow themselves to be put away I don't worry about.
I have enough chickens I can afford to lose the dumb ones though.
Shalom to all
Do you get notification?
Well, it is officially a rotator cuff injury. An MRI and possibly surgery if it is the ligament that I can ill afford. Not to mention it means I can't leave my job till it is delt with
I so wish that bull had been mine so I could have just shot him and called the meat wagon.
I mean Alerts....
I hope you have been well too. I usually can move the group in quite well using pressure like I do in a round pen, but one pullet that was already going back and forth agitatedly because she could not figure out how to get in for some odd reason after the others had all gone in is a different story.Dax! Beautiful pictures, I'm glad you're back safely and enjoyed your trip!
I've never used it, and only have heard of doing so when the hatch is late, past day 23. I don't think the bloom would be of concern that late in incubation. I'm not certain the point, you would either leave them in the incubator longer or assist, you could do whatever you were going to do without the float test.
At least you got 4, hopefully pullets.
Glad you are high and dry!
I did today.
Watch herding videos, learn about pressure points in herding, no more chasing, much calmer, easier way to move animals,
The only problem is if a predator got a easy meal, it will be sticking around for more easy meals.
Alerts yes, emails no.
Oh my, sorry Dax, hopefully no surgery.
That happens to me...but various threads and just random. I thought maybe I missed catching an alert...and then it doesn't notify further...but I specifically watched and made certain. I haven't been getting alerts for this thread this morning.I haven't been getting notifications the last few days. I didnt turn them off, so I don't know what changed, a glitch maybe?![]()
