Judging by what you said anything is too expensive at the moment, but if the stove is still functional the new metal stove pipes are usually not that expensive to get and install. A few years ago when our propane prices jumped way up I figured I could put the stove pipe in for what it would cost me for a tank of fuel so I put the stove pipe in and it has saved me a ton of money since I cut my own wood. For the amount of work though it's almost easier just to buy ricks of wood.No, ma'am. The coal furnace in the house was removed about a year before I came into the picture. There is a coal stove in the garage, but the chimney is shot.
