My one string battery operated weed eater works well and battery lasts longer than I do.

You know anything about using millings on dirt/gravel lanes & driveways? Heard they pack just like blacktop, but will they wash before they get melted together?
Garden center up the road selling them, $8/ton

Looks like the model we bought to trim under our hot wires. Wish we would have got a second battery though. It lasts awhile but takes so long to charge.
I will look at mine in the morning and we will compare notes MC

I need to check, but I think I have another battery somewhere.

It will.. wear glasses. Tap the spool on the ground while running full blast and it will self feed the twine.

I ain't wearing dorky glasses! I don't like to wear sunglasses as it is.
This one is clear that if you tap it, you break it. It promises to do that itself.

I am digging thru Bob's pics and thought of your switch.
These are photos taking in a house he helped restore back in 2007 I think I read. The house was built in the late 20's.
cloth covered wires and ceramic isolators. Crack pipe tubes thru the heart pine studs. industry standard in the 20's/30's... fire hazard maybe?

My wiring is from the 40's. Not much better.

Morning folks! Chickens are still molting, but should be done by mid-October. Haven't gone down yet to feed, but during the day I encourage them to wander the garden and catch late peas and some of the cucumbers I left out there so they're usually not quite ravenous when it's bright and early. Relaxed kind of day today, starting with fresh-ground coffee.

Collect the feathers and glue to a jack-o-lantern. I am gunna try. My male Turkey is almost naked..lol

You're a smart woman; you know better than that! Dorky or not, if you value your eyesight, PLEASE wear at least safety glasses. It don't take but one pebble or stick to permanently blind you. And you won't see it coming! Don't be so frapping hardheaded

I am so sorry!

I hurt myself in the silliest of ways. When I was in the 6th grade, I was waiting in the line to play 4-square with my hands in my pockets--while standing on black ice. I did a bounce up to keep warm and fell smack onto the blacktop. Broke off my two front teeth and have a nice manly scare on my face...Yea real tough!...A tragic 4-square accident....

I am really happy with this trimmer!! A review said it lasted twenty minutes. I got 25. Considering how thick some of the weeds were, I'm very impressed!
I do wish I had a push mower for the steep hill, but this did the job. My place looks a lot better!
My hand hurts from holding the trigger. It quit thirty seconds before I was done with a section. I got it to go another ten, and pulled the last few weeds.

Beautiful coloring and marble. Hub seasoned only with fresh black pepper corn & coarse sea salt.
Seared over oak and hickory hardwood.

The pork almost tasted like red meat. Our feeder swine get top quality feed and alfalfa. Finished with corn and beer.
The meat is to die for..
Best mystery Meat meal in awhile..sleepy..

Squishy flipped about shorts. He strongly recommended glasses. I flip about shoes. And I got close enough to my foot to be glad I wear good sneakers! (Oops!!)
