I know that it would not shut all the way (it had to have something pushing it in to stay flush). Then I opened it the other day and a piece of metal that is curved came out at the bottom right and some piece inside moved so now it is stuck all the way open. I could get a picture tonight.

My guess is the hinge is (enter bad word here)...... It might be cheapest fix to get another from a thrift store..or visit sears for a new one.

I am a firm believer in DeWalt tools. I have the others but they always break or stop working. Yep, I know DeWalt is made by Black and Decker now, and that does scare me some.

yep... I have never had luck with doing that..BUT I try it whenever something twists..Then I go get a "new" one. I should have said that.Duh
