Our Vet has us using this as needed. Sheep drench. She recomended double dose for goats. About $80 but it is a big container. So easy to use.@mlm Mike What is your favorite treatment for tapeworms? I have started valbazen I got a doe and doeling from a breeder this year and both of them have tapeworms.
If you do valbazen do you do two follow ups or just one?
Is there any pasture treatment?
Is it a one dose treatment? My bad is very careful that we don't treat unless we see symptoms or specific Worm but I know they have them from him I have seen them. Our Vet has us using this as needed. You can have him with my blessings. If he can build coops I've already claimed him.

Oh my! I once saw a man in a lime green speedo one day and a nude speedo the next day. I seriously just about had a heart attack with the nude speedo. Until I realized he was "not" nude. Huge respect for the dude, he looked like he was having an incredible amount of fun! He looked just like Ron Jeremy and he didn't care what people were thinking. Good for him!!!So you are saying that every time there is progress made on the construction of your your new coop you would be stuffing a dollar bill in his speedo?![]()

That's awesome!!!@kwhites634 The up button in quotes to take you back to the original post is working again!
Sorry I was abrupt yesterday. We're combining beans and I'm swathing right in front of the combine. I kinda have to be on point...lol.Whilez Crocodilez
There's the entrepreneurialistic spirit!!!That's it! I'm losing weight, buying a speedo, & taking my show on the road; I could use the money. I'll even furnish my own tools & tool belt.
The doctors I sold lamb to were from south africa, and she explained when they slaughtered...they gutted and processed them up high because there's a height where the flies don't fly. That's how they dealt with it. I thought that was cool.DH does ours at dusk. The flys are dormant.. just skeeters on the butcherer. Weird how flys behave. They have such a short life span cycle and sleep during 48% of it.. hmmmm
I would be clumsy at that weight. Father/daughter...it causes birth defects in pigs?? I thought it was a fairly acceptable first cross for many animals for crossing back?UPDATE:
The tiny piglet appears to be a runt that had struggled to compete for teet time by the more aggressive teet mates. No external injuries apparent. The Goat's milk has her on her feet and she is a pistol! Gotta still nurse her for a few days. Gave her an iron shot and vitamin B as well
The mother sow is our oldest. AND one of the largest.
She is over 550# and has become a risk of fatality to the offspring because of her size/weight & clumbsey - View attachment 1153228 View attachment 1153229 View attachment 1153231 ness.
Our younger Sows are growth stunted now at approx. 400-ish # on purpose for safer mommy time..Almost zero fatalities.
My biggest girl is my only Pure Berkshire Breed Female. They bring in the cash w/that breed. We are entertaining the thought of keeping 1 or two of this litter for replacement but we would have the need for purchasing a fresh bloodline boar. Pigs are different than Poultry. Daddy and Daughter = birth defects.
Anyway.. enough finger pecking.. how's about some eye candy?

There needs to be more roosters. WAY more roosters. Otherwise that's very accurate.

You skipped a bunch of posts??Good morning everyone!
I skipped a bunch of posts.![]()
I did not.I agree...the shame.Shame!!
What??? How can that be cost effective? How do they even do that...as in wash the grain? I know grain goes out here...that where the guineas/chickens come in. They dont' mill the grain? Actually I assumed feedlots would buy prepared.Feed prices have gone up while hang weight prices have dropped. Only big time farmers whom can buy feed in mass bulk prices can profit. But they also collect the animals excrement, wash and sift it and re feed the un digested grains back to their stock. use growth hormones/steriods and other chemicals to maximize growth in a short period of time to reduce the overhead cost of feed.

Same here. 4H sells for incredible prices. We have only one here. I think it is the second Friday of every month, desparate farmers unloading their under fed stock to private buyers.
Now in the spring, The southeasten youth fair has FFA/4H animals selling for HUGE MONEY.. Even Publix attends and purchases as a public relations gesture. A handi cap child's pigs sold at over $850 one year. Our daughters at $650 (cost 650 to raise it too)
Big difference when selling prices when the cause is for children.
I made it!
I will never pay one cent to this pepole! Our customers as well. If they call and we quote a price and they say it is too high, Hub tells them to go look at those dirts cheap hogs listed and come here before you buy.. then we will wheel & deal.. Some do. Sometimes if we see an abundance of ads in our market, we pose as buyers to check out the competition. We see gross living conditions, under fed animals, sores and sickness not separated, poop in food dishes. Gross conditions.
mismanaged herds.
not all of them but quite a few.
my moo moo doesn't have pocketsAnd my money in my pocket.

There are two possible reasons.
Lay it on me; I can take it.
Oh my is it ever, especially when you have a strong little life, she fought! This morning she was weak and I could tell it was just getting harder for her. So I gently let her go to sleep. Mixed the carbon monoxide and let her go.It is a lot easier culling something for food than a tiny young one for sure. Had a pullet with a rye neck defect last month/ I tried. lord I tried. anyway.. I felt what you are feeling. It is a difficult call to make.
