Dear people that are as old as ... that are familiar with old furniture.
I have metal framed twin beds from the forties or fifties. A thin mattress over metal springs (I hate those springs. They rip sheets to shreds!).
Is it okay to use a regular twin mattress on the frame? No box spring of course.
And how did you (or your mama) keep the linens in one piece?!

I hate it when my milk crate pokes a hole in sheets! I need to re pack the hay before I get a stiff neck..
