You can find stupidity everywhere. ........The midwife schedules your delivery. Duckling was induced only a week early. Most are scheduled at 38-weeks.
Midwife dictated everything. From that to how long after being induced you're allowed to go. Then it's C- section time.
I saw a nurse tossing a baby around as she was changing its clothes.![]()
Hi all! Way behind again.
@Cynthia12 Congratulations on the grandbaby - congrats to your daughter as well!! I'm glad things worked out. I'm sorry about the fall. I hope you heal quickly!
@kajira I'm sorry about the loss of your baby. Were they premies?
Congrats on the current pregnancy! You know your body best, so you make sure you are able to control your environment. Good luck!!
@hippiestink Congats on the soon to be baby! You are in the home stretch!!
I had a scheduled C-section since my daughter was breech - her ankles were by her ears. When I checked in, they hooked me up to some monitors. They said I was having contractions - but I never felt them. I arrived at the hospital at 10, and my daughter was delivered at 12:10. Biggest stressor I had was the anesthesiologist looked like he was still in high school.
Thanks for the snake photos - NOT! We only have rattlers to deal with around here. At least that's the only snake we worry about. Hiking around here - you make sure you listen for the rattling - also wear boots and long pants. But there is a guy near where I work that had a permit to import exotic animals, but he was arrested a few months ago for violating his permit. That was after his Albino Cobra got out and bit someone's dog. That was the second Cobra to get loose in 3 years.

At the time of the above story, a red bellied black snake was loose - spotted by neighbors. I never heard if it was recovered or not.
@daxigait - Hi!! Sorry I missed you again!
Yes, my twins were delivered via c-section at 24 weeks, because I dilated. I had a history of dilating in a singleton pregnancy and this doctor wouldn't take my symptoms seriously until it was too late. He also wouldn't transfer me to a facility who could care for me and try to STOP my labor to get steriods on board, or buy us any time. He just decided I was *going* to have those babies, and via-csection.
He put me in a position that he would have just let them die in front of me, if I didn't sign the consent forms to the c-section because he was the one who had to call and arrange a nicu team to fly in to get them from the hospital to take them to a hospital 3 hours away. He had hours to arrange it before we did the c-section, he seriously could have transferred me to a bigger hospital.
I'm also 99% sure he knicked my water bag at 21 weeks, which is why I went into labor, too - of course I cannot prove it. :/
I am so very sorry you had to deal with all that. I can't begin to understand the pain. There are some doctors that think they are GODS and whatever they decide is what needs to happen. Those are the ones you run, not walk, out of their offices and find someone else. Not something you can do while you are in labor though....
