
....I was. I carried the boy around as a newborn while I was working in the fields; combining...you name it. He'd move his little foot and switch the powershift on when I was cultivating!

Sometimes he'd want to stay with Grandma and help in the garden once he got to toddler stage...but he spent all the combining with me playing with his little toys on a comforter on the floor of the combine. I lambed out 70 ewes a few weeks after he was born.
I always said that if I had boys they better know their domestics so they can look after themselves. Always said if I had girls they better know how to change the oil in their vehicle and they better dang well know their tools. And what a Robertson is.

It's our job to prepare them for life, isn't it?
