EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

So it is just roundworms and not the flat worms? I think as I read this I remember someone (maybe the USDA vet) telling me this and advising to use something else because it is limited to roundworms....BUT I could be hallucinating too.
correct ivermectin treats roundworms, threadworms, lice and mites

I am now wondering if Walrus can be Kosher......
:lau i was also wondering that!

That makes sense. I use the ivermectin to keep lice an mites down. Maybe it killing roundworms helps my worm population more than the sand dunes I live on...Hmmmm

Any idea (meaning I am too lazy to look it up) if the majority of worms in chickens are roundworms.
i think roundworm is most common

Thanks, I have Ivermectin (horse/cow), Valbazen (goats), and Wazine.
valbazen treats liver flukes, tapeworms, stomach worms, intestinal worms, and lungworms
ivermectin and wazine are both for roundworms

Maybe I will treat with Wazine, and follow it with Ivermectin. Do you think I could do them both together or is that too much?
I had a friend's goat kid here and got several I had to treat for tape worms. Given the fact that someone told me that chickens play a role in the life cycle I think I should treat them.
those both treat round worm
i would go with safeguard goat for the chickens and it treats roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and some tapeworms

What is the dosage on safeguard?

Not at all IMHO this strict laws made the difference and separation between shaperds and nomads (us) to all the farmer around us. beside that at least some of them came from keeping the food clean and healthy.
There's much agreement between the Torah and the bible as far as animals to eat and not to eat. In fact, isn't Leviticus (old testament) also in the Torah?
It made sense to me. When one looks at the list without an eye to religion, the list still makes sense because in my mind it eliminates bottom feeders (swine, fish without fins/scales, etc.) The remainders are cleaner animals in general.
I used to adhere to the list for health reasons, rather than religious reasons.
