I have a question, the humidity in my incubator is usually between 55 and 60%. It is day 13 and 12 out out of 13 eggs seem to be doing very well. What should my humidity be in day 18? I usually get different answers when I Google it so I thought it was best to ask here.

I live in Fl. & run a lower amount of humidity (less h2o) @ start up.. I have great success w/55-60% for my last 3 days (chickens). During the summer, I don't add water until day 18 when my Region has 100% already in the air. I have a batch going right now and tweaked the RH down yesterday to the 30's. I will bring back up in a few days for my lock down.
Just what I do....

Humidity is highly localized..as to what works best....as is what time of year it is for me up here...

See what you get for results and adjust them next time....for us up here any success at hatching this time of year is rare.

@BantyChooks or anyone else, if you find posts with broken videos let me know and I will show you how to find the working link. It's quite geeky, and I'm thrilled I figured it out on my own!

How do your air cells look? 55-60% before day 18 is very high for the humidity. I usually run 60-80% during lockdown, but during incubation before day 18 I run the incubator dry, which has my humidity around 20% (+/- 5%). This is what works best in MY area so that my air cells are at the optimum size.
