EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Ignore her...She tried to claim she won the "good Morning" contest on the Minnesota thread..and we all know she is disqualified there.
I won fair and square. I am a northie.

So. . stupid Southie question. Do I need a separate incubator for them to hatch in? I read a lot of people on here talking about putting their eggs in a Hatcher at lock down. Is this the best thing to do or do most of you just hatch in the same incubator?
I use the same bator but a hatcher is on my to-do list.

Mine is a cabinet that holds 5 trays and they do not turn.

So I'm still confused. Is the Hatcher just another incubator? What do you mean by a cabinet.
A cabinet incubator?
But but but how do you move the eggs to the Hatcher if ya not posed to open the incubator Ralph ie ?

It's a separate box with a heat supply for eggs after day 18 (25 if duck) of incubation. It reduces contamination of incubating eggs and makes staggered hatches easier humidity-wise. Generally, it can be used as an incubator too, not Ralph's cabinet but many others can.
