EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Can you hunt them? Are they considered as good eating?
There is a season on them. As an international migratory waterfowl, they are closely protected. They are no longer endangered. We now have populations that are sticky and don't migrate remaining here year round. There are 7 subspecies of Canadians that vary widely in size.

My friend has a federal license to manage geese and remove nests.
Geese are good eating.
Certainly an interesting field of work.
@duluthralphie I have found your new dream job. You get to be around annoying webbed feet all day!
:lau

Video halfway down the following page is about the permafrost melting and native villages having to evacuate to higher ground. The Yup'ik people of Newtok, Alaska
Several studies corroborate that melting polar ice caps will continue to contribute to California's drought.

This is a film that my freind Menny Ossi filmed, now it is more rare to find them
Really cool! That looks like it takes a lot of patience and practice. I would need a couple sticks of dynamite to speed up the process..
Just kidding.. That looks like it can be very rewarding. "It's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase".
T-minus fourteen days until we take a 12+ hour trip from Belgium to Texas for Christmas and New Year's.
Sounds like somebody's going to have a Real Genuine Merry Christmas! I am so happy for you.. Family together is the true meaning of Christmas.
Enjoy! Savor the moments.. :hugs
@Fire Ant Farm BYC is lonelier without you. Come back... I miss my favorite Texan.

So what is the reason that you put her in your fridge?
Does that mean "Lock her outside'?:pop
Did you listen to it on your old tube radio or on shortwave?
We have an old shortwave radio. The longer the wire (antenna), the wider the band width. Summer is when stuff from around the Globe comes in.

This one is made by "hallicrafters". YES it works and is hooked up. We last used it after Hurricane Irma for entertainment purposes etc. It is an electric model but we have an power inverter we used clipped to a car battery during the power outage for 7 days.
FOR THE LIFE OF ME..:barnie
I can't find pix of the antique shortwave radio DH sold last year to pay some of our outstanding bills.
It was a rare cabinet model, Like the one The WALTONS had in the T.V. series. I think the pix are on the dead cell phone.:(
You mean sealy? Don't you? :lau
Benny is having fun this morn.. :lau
Maybe delivered by Canadian Geese or Snow Geese or Ptarmigan.
Whooping Crane maybe.
The last two are probably too far west for her.

Youwhat?
I'm too cheap to spend money on something that I can do without and will expire eventually, leaving me once again game-less. If it were a one-time fee—maybe.

It's only for the populated areas, though. :barnie

Which is most of the year.
NHL Live is $100 per year, I think. I refuse to pay that much.
I don't blame you there! Pro games back in the day, costs around $20 bucks a seat to see em in the stadium. Nowadays, to go see a game, they take your arm, your leg, grocery bill for the week, petro money for the month etc.
NFL players get payed MILLIONS of $$$$ per player and it only hurts the fans whom can't afford to witness them play in person unless they have 2 minimum wage paying jobs.
Will I feed my kids this week? or use my entire pay check to take my family watch a bunch of millionaires play ball?
I am no fun today.... sorry:D

Don't you know that global warming is a myth? Nothing is wrong in our wonderful planet? And everything is a natural cycle that humans don't have nothing to do with? (Wait ,wait I need to laugh! Haaaaaaa :lau)
