EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Managed to pump 90ml/3 ounces in one regular pump session for the first time in weeks. It's officially enough to give Honeybee a single feeding! This is really encouraging after two weeks of only getting maybe one ounce from a full session.
:hugs I hope you continue to produce more. Hang in there.

If you ever repeat this I'll deny it, but I wouldn't mind living in CA right now. Should be plenty warm with all the fires down south.
Brother was in evacuation watch yesterday. Hopefully not today.

Almost glad I'm getting no eggs atm; they'd probably freeze before I found them.
I was just thinking the no egg thing was nice, but feed bill says otherwise.

Hello Pensmaster!
As long as the waterers aren't frozen solid, you're warm enough.
First couple years I was here water would freeze about an inch thick. That hasn’t happened since.

Doesn't everyone complain about the weather? It must be America's favorite pastime. Complain that it's too cold, complain that it's too hot.
Canada's too.

:clap :celebrate way to go Banti it looks great and your chickens look happy.
I think they are! I got 2 more eggs than usual the day after I moved them in. Maybe they're just not hiding them in bushes any more. :p
A way to control your chickens genetics
I'll leave that to Ralphie.
You could try Ralphies' giant meat birds. Toads?
I'd want them as pets rather than meat. I have chanties for that. From what I hear, turkeys are almost too sweet to eat...

Good morning...

That is quite helpful, thank you very much.

Bummer!
Seems like the more players get injured, the better the Blues play.
They started the season with many injuries people thought would doom their season. 3 top players are now out for the season.
Maybe they should just fill the bench with their farm teams.

The world scares me more and more.

Our daughter was lactose intolerant. If not breastfeeding, all other milk just came right back up. Never burp without a towel on your shoulder.

It can be genetic but if artificially incubating, crooked toes and spraddle leg can also be from high or low temperature, inadequate breeder nutrition or smooth bottom hatching trays.
I also get curved and crooked toes in protracted hatches.
:frow
Well, it is long too late for you but they are finding that many people who are lactose intolerant and even animals can drink goat's milk even if they can't handle anything else.
